1 Corinthians 6
1Co 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
THIS IS QUITE THRILLING! Now the Blessed Holy Spirit has taken up His abode in us.
It is interesting that the word temple is used.
In the old testament, the temple is the dwelling place of God.
If you wanted to find God, you went to the temple.
Another meaning of the Greek word, “nah-os'”, is shrine.
A shrine is also a dwelling place for a god.
Now Paul is telling us that our bodies have become the temple, the shrine of the Holy Ghost.
The Holy Spirit does not live in a physical temple or Shrine anymore.
Now He dwells inside us. Our bodies house or enshrine Him.
As a result he wants us to carry our bodies well. We should not be permitting sin in our bodies because the Blessed Holy Spirit live in it.
Also, you should not allow sickness and disease in your bodies.
Paul said, if that same Spirit that raise Jesus from the dead, dwells in you, He will pour life into your mortal bodies. He will rejuvenate your body. He will quicken your mortal bodies. He will stimulate your mortal bodies.
No more sin, no more sickness, no more confusion. Your body is the shrine of the Precious, Blessed and wonderful Holy Spirit.
To the ends of the earth!
God bless you richly with great grace and many blessings!
