Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall BE……
THE STORY of this centurion is thrilling. He was one person whose faith marveled our Blessed Lord. It is interesting to know that the Master was on His wayto this man’s house in order to heal the servant of this man. It is totally amazing that the man sent another emissary to stop the Master.
The marvel is really the man’s faith in the word of the Master. He said to the Master, don’t bother coming to my house but say the word and my servant will be healed. Wao! What a faith, what confidence, what a marvel.
The Master sent the word and the servant was healed. This is the faith the Master wants us to have. Absolute faith in His word. We should have faith in nothing more than in His word. The Master eulogized this man for exercising absolute faith in Him.
There was nothing wrong with the Master visiting this man’s house. That would have been faith but the man exercised GREAT FAITH. Faith is in levels, and this man’s faith was in the highest category. The key is that the word was sufficient for this man. His faith was purely based on the word and nothing more.
What has God said to you in His word. Is that sufficient for you? If it is then you are exercising great faith. Great faith is faith that only the word suffices. It is my prayer that you will consistently exercise great faith. It begins with believing that this year is your greatest year so far. Exercise great faith in that.
To the ends of the earth! God bless you richly with great grace and many blessings!
