And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
IN THIS chapter, the disciples are asking the Master about the end of the age.
In the Master’s response, He points out that the gospel MUST FIRST be published among all nations.
Our attention is drawn to the ‘must-ness’ of the first.
In other words, He is saying this MUST happen first before we talk about the end of the age.
And what is it that must happen first?
The gospel must be published among all nations.
Many people say our Blessed Lord promised to come a long time ago but has not come yet. And they are wondering what is keeping Him.
Peter answers that question when he said, ‘God is not slack concerning His promises as some men count slackness, but is long-suffering towards us not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.’
Evidently, as soon as the gospel is published in every nation then shall the end of the age come.
It is actually us that are holding the Master back. If only we can publish the gospel to every nation, He will be here!
This is the reason why every believer should be vitally involved in the ministry of the gospel. Your involvement is hastening His coming.
Do something great with the gospel this year. After all, this is the greatest year of your life so far.
Do the greatest thing you have ever done for the gospel up to date this year.
To the ends of the earth!
God bless you richly with great grace and many blessings!
