Good People Can Suffer But It doesn’t Have to be You

Job 4

Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off?

WHEN JOB’S PROBLEMS STARTED, three of his friends came to comfort him and mourn with him. We are told they mourned with him for seven days. That included going without food and sitting on the ash heap with job for seven days and seven nights. Indeed they were true friends of Job. Job 3

For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

IN THIS CHAPTER, Job begins to talk!
We are shocked at the things he is saying. But you really can’t blame him… he is going through so much pain. In a day, he had been reduced to nothing! In a day, he had lost everything including ALL his children! And to make matters worse, he loses the confidence of his wife!
But our question of how come this things came upon Job still stands.

How come such a good man suffered such vicious attacks?
How come such an upright man suffered such malicious attacks from Satan?
We have to look at the things Job is saying here.
He himself said, for the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me! Wow!
Job was afraid that one day a great calamity may befall him.
This is the reason he kept offering sacrifices for each of his children. He kept saying paradventure they have sinned against God. He wasn’t even sure!

Yes, Job was a good man but he was a man ruled by fear!
For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.
The Hebrew margin reads, “I feared a fear, and it came upon me.”
Obviously, he allowed his fear to rule him to the point that he acted on the fear and confessed his fear.

Fear is monster that must be stood against and destroyed.
You must make up your mind not to tolerate fear in your life.

When Peter walked on the water to go to Jesus, every thing was going on well until he became afraid. And when fear came, he began to sink.
This one thing is sure: FEAR WILL MAKE YOU SINK!

Fear is a spirit that creates the atmosphere for the manifestations of Satan. Faith move God, fear moves Satan.
Where there is fear, Satan will show up. Where there is faith, God will show up.
Paul said that God has not given to us the spirit of fear, but of love, of power and of a sound mind.

Today take authority over the spirit of fear in your life.
Do not give room to fear. For fear is of the Devil!

To the ends of the earth!
God bless you richly with great grace and many blessings!

Job 1

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

Most theologians believe that this is the oldest book in the Bible.
It was written by Job, who was a cousin of Abraham. Some say his name was Jobab.
Most people believe that this is the most philosophical book in the Bible. This book reveals how deeply this man honored his God.

Revelations 22

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

WE HAVE COME TO THE END OF THE book of Revelations. It has been a wonderful and deeply touching read.

TOMORROW we will begin to read the Book of Job. We trust God to learn of His wisdom in the book of Job. It definitely will be a great read for us all.

OUR TEXT TODAY is the words that our Blessed Lord declared as He brought the revelations to His servant John to a close.
He boldly declares that He is the Alpha and the Omega.
You must recall that at the very beginning of this Book of Revelations He made the same declarations even twice in Revelations 1:8 & 11.

The alpha is the first Greek alphabet.
The omega is the last Greek alphabet.
In other words, the Master is declaring again that He is the very Beginning and the very ending.

In the words of Barnes, “He originated the whole plan of salvation, and he will determine its close; he formed the world, and he will wind up its affairs. In the beginning, the continuance, and the end, he will be recognized as the same being presiding over and controlling all.”

The Master can not be ignored.
At the very end of the Revelations, He announces Himself as the One before Whom and after Whom there is no God!
He is the First and the Last. Every other person and thing is in between!

He is greater than all.
He is the Ancient of days! And as old as He is, He does not change!
He is trustworthy!

Notice at this closing, He announces again and again that He is coming quickly.
We soberly, watchfully, prayerfully, faith-fully, “fastingly”, “evagelizingly”, and “standingly” await His glorious return.
For He will SURELY come as He has promised. The same way He rose from the dead as He said!
Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!

To the ends of the earth!
God bless you richly with great grace and many blessings!

Revelation 21

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with  them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

THIS IS THE REALIZATION OF THE FATHER’S DREAM. For this reason He created man in the first place. In the garden of Eden the Father will come down and fellowship with man. This continued until man didn’t want him anymore. God’s dream has always been to dwell in the midst of men. Continue reading GOD’S DREAM

Revelations 20

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

We are given a glimpse into the future.

The time we are dealing with begins with the arrival of Jesus Christ on earth.
Satan is bound in a bottomless pit for a thousand years!
Before then, the dead in Christ had been raised to meet Christ in the air.
The risen and raptured saints will spend seven years in Heaven during which time the marriage feast of the Lamb would have taken place.
Now after the marriage feast in Heaven, “Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints.” Jude 1:14

The Lord will return to earth with ten thousands of his saints. That was Jude’s way of saying millions upon millions!
When He comes on earth, He will execute judgement upon the wicked who have refused to repent.
Our Lord will then set up His kingdom here on earth, and He will reign with the saints for a thousand years! It is called the Millennial reign of Christ!

Now after the thousand years reign of Christ, Satan will be loosed again and he will make a last minute effort to deceive people again. Unfortunately he will succeed in deceiving some.
He will be arrested and cast into the lake of fire where the beast and the false prophet have been burning for one thousand years. There Satan will suffer for all eternity.
But then the those that died without Christ will be raised from the dead. All these while, they have not been raised yet.
But now their time has come and they shall be raised from the dead with corruptible, putrefying and decomposing bodies.
Then they will gather at the throne of judgement where they will be condemned and sentenced to eternal damnation with their lord, Satan, in the lake of fire.
It will be a horrific time!
This is the reason we are preaching the gospel.

It is only through the gospel of Jesus Christ that humanity can be saved.
Outside of Christ there is no salvation whatsoever.
The love that God has for man is what made Him give Jesus to die for the sins of humanity.

The good news of the sacrifice of Jesus is the gospel.
And we must preach it!
Preach the gospel!

To the ends of the earth!
God bless you richly with great grace and many blessings!

Revelations 18

Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.

THE KEY HERE IS TO REJOICE! God is the One asking you to rejoice.
God will avenge you.

It is God’s responsibility to avenge you.
You really don’t have to avenge yourself.
God does not want us to avenge ourselves.

He wants to do it Himself.
He will avenge you on every delay in your life.
He will avenge you on every shame in your life.
He will avenge you on every ignominy in your life.
He will not let you be embarrassed.

In our text today, God avenged his people on the city of Babylon and utterly destroyed it.
Now that same God is reaching out to you.

He is avenging you on every ugly and contrary circumstance in your life.
The devil and his cohorts will not have the last word in your situation… God will!
What are you going to do?
Vengeance is here on your behalf!
Your time has come!
God has arisen on your behalf.
Now He will perfect all that concerns you. Those that laughed at you shall laugh no more.
It is your time.

It is your season.
Your faith is prevailing.
The word is coming true in your life.
Just rejoice!
Your best days are ahead of you!
Jesus is your Lord!

To the ends of the earth!
God bless you richly with great grace and many blessings!
