Forsaking all for The Master

Matthew 19
And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
OUR GREATNESS is not in our possessions but in what we can give up for the Master and His gospel.

The Master Himself is never the Author of lack and poverty or even deprivation. Rather He is the God of Abundance. He is Elshaddai!
The important thing is that He does not in any way want us to have any attachment to anything more than to Him.
That is why He promises so much blessings here on earth and in heaven to all that can willingly forsake all and follow Him.
The thing is that some times especially at the beginning of our walk with Him, we are willing to forsake all. As a result He blesses us. As we progress in our walk with Him, He still expects us to be ever willing to forsake all over and over again.

Many times we take ourselves too seriously that if we don't have money for flight we can't attend a church service. Or if there is no fuel (gas) in the car we can't attend. After all we have left that level. That is not good at all for your soul. That is taking yourself too seriously.
Attending meetings is a spiritual demand from the Master. And you should be there no matter what.

Take nothing or your self seriously.
Be willing to give up everything and anything the Master demands of you.
Remember, He gives more constantly to those that do. He offers a hundred fold return here on earth and eternal life hereafter.
Everything you give for the gospel is usually replenished hundred fold.

God bless you richly.

How to Be Great in the Kingdom

Matthew 18
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
THE MASTER himself has very dramatic way of making His point.
He brings in a little child in the midst of His disciples and shows them God's condition for greatness in the kingdom.
He makes it clear that one MUST HUMBLE himself.

The Father values humility very much. He despises the proud.
In fact Mary said in the magnificat that God brings down the proud and exalts the humble.
Notice in our verse today the Master says, 'Whosoever therefore shall HUMBLE HIMSELF'.
It is therefore our prerogative to humble ourselves.

Humility does not presume it is greater than any other. Neither does it boast that it is better than others. In fact it prefers others to itself.
Truly our ultimate greatness lies in out humility never in our pride.

It is my prayer that you will so abase yourself before God and others, so that God will so lift you before men that your greatness can not be equaled.

God bless you richly.

The Release of Faith

Matthew 17
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
FAITH! The power word!
When you possess it the possibilities are endless. When you have faith there is nothing you can't do or achieve.

The truth is every Believer has faith.
The issue is a concerted effort in unleashing it.
The major thing is releasing faith on purpose.

In our text the Master said 'if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you shall say.... '
He is saying that when you have faith, regardless of how small it is, you should say!
' Saying' is the release of faith. When you say and keep saying, you are unleashing faith, You are letting your faith loose, You are firing your faith!

Faith is no good when you just have it. It will achieve no end. It will do no good when just have it. IT MUST BE FIRED AT A TARGET.
And when fired, you must keep firing until you fell your target.

When David went to fight Goliath, he took five stones. He must have meant to use the five against that monster.
Saying it once is not enough. You have to keep saying it until you HAVE WHAT YOU SAY!
Stay busy talking.

God bless you richly.

How to Gain a Higher Life

Matthew 15
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?MANY people are totally oblivious of this truth!
They are in hurt pursuit of the material things of this life. They are so blinded by this pursuit that they do not care about eternal things.
This is actually what Satan has been up to. He wants people to pursue the things of this life so much that they have little or no time to think of their spiritual lives and their eternal destinies.

Even most believers are in hot pursuit of material things that they are losing grip of their spiritual lives.
Many actually lived that way until they forsook the Lord Jesus.
Paul talked about Demas who forsook him because he loved the world.
His life is a major warning for all of us to value our salvation and take our walk with the Master seriously.

There is a hell to shun and a heaven to gain.
Keep your gaze locked on what is important.... Your spiritual life.
In the end, all is vanity.
Jesus is what makes things what it.
God bless you richly.

What Defiles a Person

Matthew 15
But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

THE MASTER has a way of driving His point home.
He makes it clear that a man is not necessarily defiled by what he eats.
The Jewish leaders have been teaching the people that want they eat DEFILES them. But our Blessed Lord comes on the scene and counters that teaching. He said what you eat you pass out. So it doesn't have the power to defile you.
But then He makes it clear that what DEFILES a person is actually what comes out of the person's mouth.
This is really totally different from what the Jewish leaders taught their people. And it was a very revolutionary thing back then when the Master taught it.

You see when a person falls sick for in stance, he says it is what he ate. (Whether he ate it through his mouth or through his skin in the case of an infection.) According to the Master's teaching it is not so.

The Master said that it is WHAT WE SAY THE DEFILES US!
He is putting a premium on our words.

Every evil that DEFILES us comes from our mouth. The Master is simply saying that your mouth is omnipotent here.
People can not hurt you. The elements can not hurt you. The beasts of the field can not hurt you. That is when your mouth does not hurt you.
It is what comes out of the mouth that DEFILES a man!

STOP defiling your safe with bad, and start 'defiling' yourself with all the good things of life.

God bless you richly!

For the Oath’s Sake

Matthew 14
And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.
AN oath is a very powerful tool.
In the realm of the spirit, there is nothing greater than an oath.

When one swears an oath, all conflict, all strife, all doubt and disputing cease!
Here the king had sworn an oath to the step daughter to give her anything she wanted. She did not just make a promise, a promise can be broken without much consequences. But not an oath.

In the scriptures you can even see where some promises were retracted, but never an oath!

Herod did not want to do as the girl had asked because he really didn't want John to die. But the bible says, 'NEVERTHELESS FOR THE OATH' S SAKE.... '
The oath compelled him to do what he had sworn to do.

Now if the king had just promised her that he was going to give her anything she asked without swearing an oath. He could have declined her request right here. But because he promised with an oath, he couldn't back down. He had to do what he swore to do.

If the oath can compel a man to do what he swore, how much more God Himself.
' For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he swore by Himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.'
God Almighty has sworn that you are blessed and multiplied. Relax! the oath will compel Him to do what He said He will do.
God bless you richly

How to Win Every Time

Matthew 12

A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
RIGHT HERE the Master delivers to humanity the key to a great and glorious life. And it is so simple that many miss it.

Here He is talking about producing good everytime. He is talking about winning everytime. He is talking about excelling everytime. He is talking about manufacturing good always. Someone said, is that possible?
We answer in the affirmative! The Master said it is!
He is saying that a man can ONLY produce what is inside him. He can only produce who or what he is.
The key then is not to bother with what you are producing. But with who you are or rather what you are. By that He means the content on the inside of you.
So then, how is this content going to change? Simply by reason of what you put inside you. How? BY WHAT YOU HEAR.

What you hear over and over again forms your belief system. And as you hear the right things, you will be transformed on the inside and then you can ONLY produce what is inside you.
This is very simple yet, it is a lot of work and requires great discipline.
What you hear, will affect who you are. So you must be careful.
The words you speak are the very words inside of you. If they are not the right words just change what you are hearing and reading.

God has called you to a life of absolute victory and success. You have no need to fear, or be in doubt.
As you listen and meditate God's word, you will be so full of Him, that when you encounter any contrariness, He will jump out of you. Your life will be a life of unending victories and streams of the miraculous.
Take heed what you hear. You become what you hear consistently.
God bless you richly.

Winning Over Offence

Matthew 11
And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?

THIS CHAPTER IS a huge Blessings. I heard one of my sons minister on this and I was so blessed.

Offense comes in both directions. People can be offended at their LEADER. And a leader can be offended at his or her members.
Both need to be cautious not to fall into the trap of offense. Here John had failed the test and had become offended at the Master. The man that once proclaimed that Jesus is the Messiah is now asking publicly, 'are you the One or are we to wait for another!'. What happened? He must have allowed his disillusionment to get a better part of him.

Now on Jesus' part, He could have also been offended at John for trying to bring public disrepute to His ministry by asking publicly if He was the Messiah! Rather He began to tell the people about the greatness of John. And indeed John was an outstanding minister. The Master found something good to talk about John.

The truth is that as a leader people around you may disappoint you. Some will ask stupid questions that may bring you to disrepute. Some may make stupid comments that may embarrass you. The question is, 'are you going to be offended at them?'. If you do, you will begin to speak ill of them. You will begin to wish them Ill. And when you begin to do that you have fallen for offense.
Turn it around, begin to speak good concerning them to people.
Of course it doesn't stop you from disciplining them if you have to. But the major thing is to avoid the trap of being offended at people for bringing you public disrepute.

John failed his test, but the Master didn't have to fail his. He passed with flying colors.
When people around you fail their test of loyalty, you don't have to fail yours. Be magnanimous. Speak good of people. Don't get into an eye for an eye. Be a Blessing.

The Master blessed John's life and ministry before the people by insisting that John was a great prophet. In fact, He said John was the GREATEST! AMAZING!

May God bless you richly.

Power Over Satan and Sickness

Matthew 10

And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

THE TITLE of this post is tautological! This is because Satan and sickness are the same. You can't have sickness without Satan. Neither can you have Satan without sickness. But I had to use it as it is, so as to get your attention.
Here the Master gives authority to His apostles and by extension to us to confront demons. He gave YOU authority against unclean spirits. To cast them out! And then to heal ALL manner of sickness and disease.
This is so paramount in the life and ministry of every child of God.

The Master has set the church against evil spirits. He has set the church against sickness and disease. He has set the church against every thing Satan and his cohorts represent.
He has given you the power of attorney to use His matchless Name and confront this aliens called evil spirits, with their attendant sicknesses and diseases.

It is a pity that many of God's children shy away from confronting unclean spirits and healing the sick and diseased.
The Master is counting on every child of God to get involved in bringing hope and freedom to bound and hopeless humanity. Everywhere you look, you see a rendezvous of broken humanity. And yet you have SOMETHING like Peter and John had at the gate called Beautiful...The Name of Jesus.
With that Name, you are absolutely matchless in confronting unclean spirits and healing the sick and diseased.
You must know that the Name is above every other name. And that at the mention of that glorious Name, every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

You are the light of the world. You have all it takes to shine. You are the hope of broken hopeless humanity.
The Master said, you shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.
You have SOMETHING to offer.

Now go and confront unclean spirits. Hunt for the oppressed, obsessed and possessed of unclean spirits, and the sick and diseased.
You are their only hope of freedom.
God can't do this. You are His hands and His voice!
As you go, you will not fail. Use the Name with authority and boldness fearing nothing. And you will be amazed at the miracles that will be wrought by your hands.
God bless you richly.
