How to Spoil Satan

Mark 3

No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
IN OUR VERSE today, the Master teaches us a warfare principle.
in teaching us this, He presumes that we understand that we possess authority.
What He is teaching us then is to exercise our authority.

He is teaching us how to plunder Satan’s kingdom and take the precious souls that our Blessed Lord has died for.
Weymouth translation of this verse reads, “Nay, no one can go into a strong man’s house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.”
Tree of life version reads, “But no one can enter a strong man’s house to ransack his property, unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he will thoroughly plunder his house.”

It is evident that He presumed that the Believer has the wherewithal to subdue this strong man.
The first principle then in plundering the strong man’s house is to first bind him. The Greek word for bind is “deho”. It is used both in a literal sense and also in a figurative sense. And in this verse the Master is using it in a figurative sense. Definitely not in a literal sense where we use ropes and bind up satan.
No in this case we exercise our authority over him in the affairs we want him to desist his maneuvers.
For instance in the case of finances, you bind Satan, and command him to take his hands of your finances, business, or job and then claim what you want. In the case of souls, you bind Satan and cut off his influence over the people you are trying to win.
It is the same way in every other areas of your life.

It is time to plunder Satan’s house. He has alot that belongs to you and he is guarding them jealously. Don’t be moved, use your authority and bind him, and then reach out and claim what is yours. Go ahead and do it now!
This is indeed the greatest year you have ever seen so far!

God bless you richly!

He Saw their Faith

Mark 2

When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
HE SAW their faith! Really can faith be seen?

saw their faithIf it can’t be seen then the scriptures lied!
It is evident from our scripture today that faith can be seen. If not it would not have said, ‘when He saw their faith..’
Faith can be seen.
In what way? You may ask.
Faith can be seen in words and actions.

The words and actions are also the release of your faith.
It is not enough to have faith. Faith that is possessed does no good. God is not moved by all the faith that you have. It is the faith that He sees that He responds to. Notice our text says, WHEN HE SAW…. that was when He responded to the faith He saw.
Notice that the people had so much faith that their friend will be healed if they could get him to Jesus. When they arrived, there was no space, no room for them. Yet they will not accept no for an answer. They did the unthinkable! They tore down the roof of Jesus’ house! And let the man down into the Master’s presence. Amazing faith.
Some times, faith must be radical. Radical in what it says and does.
It must be seen for it to be responded to.
Can your faith be seen or heard?
This is the greatest year you have seen in your life!
God bless you richly.

Well Pleased

Mark 1
And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
THIS IS Mark’s introduction of the ministries of John the Baptist and our Blessed Lord Jesus.
The verse before us is a thrilling verse. It is spectacular! A Voice came from heaven shouting, saying, to Jesus, thou art my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.
Can anything be better than this!
Why will the Father make such proclamation to the Master?

baptism of JesusThe answer is in the previous verses. The Master came down to be baptized by John. According to Matthew, John refused to Baptize Him, saying the Master should be the One to Baptize him. But the Master insisted, saying it was the right thing to do.

Here the Master is subjecting Himself to John. Here, He humbles Himself before God and before John!
And when He came out of that water of humility, the Voice came and exalted Him.
Brothers and sisters, God exalts the humble, and gives MORE grace to them.

John was a filthy sinner in comparison to the Master, yet Jesus humbled Himself and submitted to John.
I keep saying this by the Holy Ghost, until you pass the test of humility in submitting to your spiritual leaders regardless of who they are or what they are, you will be stock.

God only exalts the humble and gives them more grace to excel more. But the proud, He fights against them.
The funny thing is, the proud don’t even know God is fighting them, because they are so full of themselves. Humility most times is spelt submission.

I believe this year you will have a greater life. And that Voice is coming upon you shouting for all to hear, ‘this is my beloved son/daughter, in whom I am well pleased.’
I believe am talking about you. You are God’s beloved and He is well pleased with you. Ride your horse facing forward. This is the greatest year you’ve ever seen!

God bless you richly!

All Authority

Matthew 28
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

THIS is just one of those verses that make you scream.
This verse makes you so fearless, so bold, so courageous in the face of ferocious demons and circumstances. Armed with an understanding of this verse, one becomes incredibly aggressive in the face of repudiating circumstances.

Let’s face it, the Master has been raised from the dead. And here He, the conqueror of hell and the grave, announces with great excitement that ALL POWER, (the Greek is exousia, which means authority) in heaven and on earth was His! Wao! What can be more exciting news than this.

ALL authority, not some, was His. And with the next breadth, He hands over ALL OF THAT AUTHORITY to us.
Now I can say, you can say, ALL authority in heaven and in earth has been given to me!
Don’t tell me your wood is wet! If you can’t feel this then you must go and dry your wood!

authorityAll authority in heaven and in earth is now mine. The Master has no more authority. He gave it all to us.
Not just so we can brag on our authority but so we can use it to live well in this world, propagate the gospel without satanic, or human harassment.
So you see you are not that lolly pop people think you are. You are lord with all authority in heaven and in earth.

How can you now be harassed by a dream from a little demon in the night? How can you be intimidated by a witch in your Neighborhood? How can you be worried over what some one told you that as long as they are alive, you will never succeed? How can you be afraid because it seems your body is not lining up with how it is supposed to function?
There is no need to cry, use your authority!

Don’t let any nation intimidate you! Take authority! Use your authority, command your body to do what it is supposed to do.

A few days ago, I had pains somewhere in my body. Someone told me it may be ‘pile.’ I just said to myself it will go away. It got worse that certain natural functions could not be performed without great difficulty. Then I thought about my authority over my body. I COMMANDED it go and my body to line up properly. A few hours latter, it was SO! Then the Voice said to me, ‘if you had never done anything about it, it would have worsened because nothing could have been done by Me!’

I praised Him and thanked Him for the authority He has given to us!
Now, after rejoicing over your authority, USE IT! DO IT NOW! COMMAND MONEY, COMMAND HEALTH ETC…..
God bless you richly!

Taking advantage of Godly Sorrow

Matthew 27
Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders.

THIS IS THE GRIMMEST chapter in the whole Bible. Yet it has joy built in it, knowing that all that was undertaken by the Master was for us. Yet it evokes a cocktail of emotions!

godly sorrowJudas! Oh, why? Why did he betray the Master? Why did he commit suicide? Why, why? So many questions.

Many writers and preachers say that it was ordained of Judas to betray the Master! I wonder the sanity of such a statement. How could he have been ordained to betray the Son of God?
Such statements are by people who have accepted an inclusive humanistic gospel.
They say, ‘if I do wrong, God ordained that I was supposed to do wrong. If I go a wrong path in life, it is because it was ordained for me!’ What a mess.

Such people miss the fact that Judas is in hell being tormented. Did God choose some people to go to hell?
All things work together for good, does not mean God ordained all things!

Yes, you may miss it and do wrong, it is not because God ordained it. It is because you strayed, and when you submit to God, He will bring you back on the right path.
Judas ‘repented’ and went back to the chief priests. He confessed to them that he has betrayed an innocent man. Question is, didn’t the chief priests know He was innocent? They knew! Judas also knew!
In actual sense, his actions were not motivated by true repentance but by worldly sorrow and regret.

The Greek word translated repent in our verse is ‘ metaméllomai’. It’s first and major meaning is regret. And regret never equals repentance. Repentance is a change of mind and attitude. And it seeks to face and fix what has been damaged. The fruit of godly sorrow and true repentance is life.

The fruit of regret is condemnation and death. And that is what happened to Judas, he went and hung himself. That is exactly what regret and worldly sorrow leads to. It beats you down and eventually kills you.
If he was in godly sorrow, just like Peter who also betrayed the Master, he would have gone to the other disciples and tried to sort out his wicked actions. Peter did. He could have.

Don’t let regret rule your life. Don’t live in regret for your past. Let repentance and godly sorrow work in you and produce the fruit of righteousness and life.

God bless you richly.

How to have a Memorial

Matthew 26
Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.
Matthew 26:13 KJV
THE greatest Blessing bestowed on ‘mortals’ is the privilege to be the only ones to propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ!
And it is such that when one goes out of his way and does extraordinary things for the gospel, the Master is so stired!
In this chapter of treachery that we read, this verse shines, it stands as an oasis in a desert of leanness and meanness of soul!

This woman’s outstanding interest and sold out participation in the Master’s suffering touched the Master in a great way!
He said that anywhere the gospel is preached, this thing she did will be mentioned! Her giving has become a memorial of her!

Many people don’t understand the sacrifice this woman made. It is said that her ointment costed a year’s wages!!! Wao!
It is evident that this was not her first time of giving for no one starts giving with such radicality at the beginning!

She pressed on with her giving until she gave the seed that became a memorial! It was indeed and unforgettable seed!
You too can have a memorial before God! Press in until you get it!

An ordinary, common life is far from you! A life of serving the Lord with left overs is far from you!
May your life be a shining example of commitment to the Lord!

God bless you richly!

The Glory of Faithfulness

Matthew 25
His Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.
Matthew 25:21 KJV
THIS is where all discontent dies!
Here we see what is important to the Master. Here we see what truly counts!

First we need to establish that the people received talents not according to what they wanted but according to the abilities they had. The talents were given at the Master’s discretion!
But then it is clear that regardless of the number of talents each received, ALL were entitled to the SAME reward!!!!!

It seems then that all that the Master is interested in is our faithfulness to him. He is interested in faithfulness with what you have! He is interested in faithfulness in what He asked you to do! It matters not how unattractive the talent is! All that matters is what you do with your talent!

Don’t bury yours because it is not like someone else’s! Use it and the Master will reward you greatly!

God bless you richly!

Could this Be the Generation?

Matthew 24
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
THE MASTER’ S coming is very at hand. In this chapter, the Master outlines several signs that we are to watch out for.
He is very specific!
Then He says, this generation will not pass till all these things be fulfilled.

The billion dollar question is, ‘is it possible that our generation is the generation the Master is talking about.
That is the question I will want you to contemplate.
He said as it was in the days of Noah, so shall the coming of the Son of man be.

During the time of Noah, there was rampant lasciviousness. There was willful affront on God. There was willful ignorance. During the time of Noah, men and women mocked righteousness. Are this happening now?
The Master also said there will be multiplicity of natural disasters. Evidently this generation has and is continuing to see such.

If this generation is to be that generation mentioned by the Master, that will see His coming, then it also follows that this is the generation that MUST preach the gospel to every creature.

Whether this is the generation that will see the Master or not, necessity is laid upon all that believe on the Master to take the task of preaching the gospel and reaching the world with the gospel the first priority.
Those that prioritise this and commit wholly to this task will be greatly rewarded beyond their imagination when the Master comes.

The Master is counting on you.
God bless you richly.

Humble Yourself

Matthew 23
And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
THE MASTER is very clear concerning pride and humility.
This humilityis because pride and humility are antithetical to each other.

When a man is proud, he exalts himself. His conversations are dominated by first person pronouns. Such a man thinks more highly of himself than he ought to think.
Now notice that He said, he that exalts himself will be abased.
But then He encourages us towards humility.

He said he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. Notice He didn’t say, ‘he that God shall humble’.
Humility is not God’s responsibility in the life of a child of God. It is the persons responsibility to humble himself.
When you purposely humble yourself, then God is one obligated to exalt you.

Desist from trying to impress people, let God honor you before people. He is your God, He is interested in your success. Let Him help you succeed.
Humility is your key.

God bless you richly.

Wedding Garment

Matthew 22
And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
THIS PARABLE astonishes me. It is quite scary.
The servants went and gathered people for the wedding feast.
When the king came there was somebody who had no wedding garment.
The king instructed that he be bound hand and foot and cast into outer darkness of hell.

Don’t forget this man already made it to the wedding feast but was found without a wedding garment.

The wedding garment represents salvation.
This man is in church but when the Master comes this man could no longer continue to be part of the church because he was not saved. The astonishing thing about this is that the man was in church. But yet he was not saved.

As a preacher, I am concerned. I don’t want people in my church to be cast out into outer darkness of hell on the last day.
It is not enough to be in church, you must make sure you are wearing your wedding garment of salvation.
That is the only guarantee that when the Master comes, you will not be cast away.

There is a literal Hell to shun and a literal Heaven to gain. The only sure guarantee of Heaven is this wedding garment of salvation. It matters not how long one has been in church. It matters not what one does in church.
The only Heaven ordained guarantee of Heaven is faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. NEVER IN OUR OWN garment but the garment of salvation. If any man does not wear this garment of salvation, surely, they will be cast into the outer darkness of Hell.
Please if you have not accepted Jesus, DO IT NOW!
Be sure you are saved. That you have made Jesus Lord of your life.
If you have been Born again, then you have your wedding garment on. Keep it on.
God bless you richly.
